Ceftriaxone for injection is a third generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It has strong activity against Enterobacteriaceae bacteria. The MIC90 for Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter aerogenes, Fluraudy citrobacter, indole-positive Aspergillus, Prevotella spp. and Serratia spp. is between 0.12 and 0.25 mg/L. Enterobacter cloacae, Enterobacteriaceae spp. and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were poorly susceptible to the product. It has strong antibacterial effect against Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Neisseria meningitidis, and also has good effect against Streptococcus hemolyticus and Pneumococcus. The MIC for Staphylococcus aureus is 2-4mg/L. Methicillin-resistant staphylococci and enterococci are resistant to this product. The majority of S. fragilis are resistant to this product.

Usage :
Intramuscular injection or intravenous drip administration.
(1) Preparation of solution for intramuscular injection: add 3.6 ml of sterilized water for injection, sodium chloride injection, 5% dextrose injection or 1% lidocaine hydrochloride to a 1 g bottle to make a solution containing 250 mg of ceftriaxone per 1 ml.
(2) Preparation of solution for intravenous administration: add 9.6 ml of the aforementioned diluent (except lidocaine) into 1g bottle to make a solution containing 100 mg of ceftriaxone per 1 ml, and then dilute with 5% dextrose injection or sodium chloride injection 100-250 ml for intravenous drip.
Adults Usual amount Intramuscular or intravenous drip, every 24 hours 1 ~ 2g or every 12 hours 0.5 ~ 1g. the highest dose of 4g a day. the course of treatment 7 ~ 14 days.
Pediatric dosage Intravenous drip, according to the body weight of 20 ~ 80mg / kg a day. 12 years of age and older children use the adult dose.
The recommended dose for the treatment of gonorrhea is a single intramuscular dose of 0.25g.
