Metronidazole talbet 500m1g 

DESCRIPTION

Metronidazole, mainly used to treat or prevent systemic or localized infections caused by the above anaerobic bacteria, such as anaerobic infections of the abdominal cavity, gastrointestinal tract, female reproductive system, lower respiratory tract, skin and soft tissues, bones and joints, etc. It is also effective in sepsis, endocarditis, meningeal infections, and colitis caused by the use of antibiotics. It is often used in combination with tetanus antitoxin (TAT) for the treatment of tetanus. It is also used for oral anaerobic infections.

Usage and Dosage

1,Adult usual dosage (1) intestinal amebiasis, 0.4~0.6g once, 3 times a day, the course of treatment for 7 days; extraintestinal amebiasis, 0.6~0.8g once, 3 times a day, the course of treatment for 20 days. (2) Giardiasis, 0.4g once, 3 times a day, course of treatment 5~10 days. (3)Guinea worm disease, 0.2g once, course of treatment 7 days. (4)Sack worm disease, 0.2g once, 2 times a day, course of treatment for 5 days. (5) Cutaneous leishmaniasis, 0.2g once, 4 times a day, course of treatment for 10 days. Repeat the course of treatment after an interval of 10 days. (6) Trichomoniasis, 0.2g once, 4 times a day, 7 days of treatment; can be used at the same time suppositories, 0.5g per night into the vagina, used for 7~10 days. (7) Anaerobic infections, oral daily 0.6-1.2g, divided into 3 times, 7-10 days as a course of treatment.

(2)Pediatric dosage (1)Amebiasis, 35~50mg/kg per day according to body weight, divided into 3 oral doses, 10 days as a course of treatment. (2) Giardiasis, 15~25mg/kg per day according to body weight, divided into 3 oral doses, for 10 days; the dosage for the treatment of dracunculiasis, pouch worm disease, trichomoniasis is the same as that of giardiasis. (3) Anaerobic infections, oral daily according to body weight
