Product Description

Desloratadine tablets ,Relief of chronic idiopathic urticaria and perennial allergic rhinitis pill
Desloratadine is a non-sedating, long-acting tricyclic antihistamine, the active metabolite of loratadine, which relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis or chronic idiopathic urticaria by selectively antagonizing peripheral H1 receptors. In addition, in vitro studies have shown that this product inhibits histamine release from human mast cells. Animal studies suggest that the product does not readily cross the blood-brain barrier.

Cautions :
1. Since antihistamines clear or attenuate positive skin reactions to all allergens, this product should be discontinued 48 hours before any skin sensitization test is performed.
2. Patients with hepatic injury, bladder neck obstruction, urethral hypertonia, prostatic hypertrophy, and glaucoma should use the drug as prescribed.
3. No cardiovascular toxicities have been observed with the combination of desloratadine with the cytochrome P450 inhibitors ketoconazole and erythromycin.
4. Combination of desloratadine with other anti-sympathetic agents or agents with central nervous system sedative effects enhances sleep.
3. The metabolism of Desloratadine was not affected by eating or drinking grapefruit juice.
5. Concomitant use of Desloratadine with alcohol does not enhance the impairment of human behavioral competence by alcohol.

Adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older: take 5 mg (one tablet) orally once daily.
